Why  Easter  is  Important?   Life  Group  Questions   FOR  FUN:  Share  your  best  Easter  memory  as  a  child.     1.  Read  John  3:16,  John  8:25,  27;  John  10:30,  John  14:6  and  Mark  10:34.  A  2012  Rasmussen  report   stated  that  77%  of  Americans  believe  Jesus  Christ  actually  lived,  died,  and  rose  from  the  grave.  Discuss   with  your  group  what  this  report  reveals  to  you.  Why  do  you  think  so  many  willingly  admit  their  belief  in   Jesus’  life,  death  and  resurrection  yet  struggle  with  the  thought  of  Jesus  being  the  only  way  of  salvation?           2.  Look  at  John  8:31-­‐32.  “…the  truth  will  set  you  free”  is  a  commonly  used  phrase.  Share  with  your  group   a  truth  from  Jesus  that  has  set  you  free?           3.  Based  upon  Ephesians  2:10  God  created  people  for  a  purpose.  For  what  purpose(s)  did  God  create   you?  (Hint:  The  purpose(s)  should  honor  God,  fulfill  you,  and  help  someone  else  at  the  same  time.)           4.  Read  John  14:21,  23.  Why  is  “having  religion”  not  enough  to  fully  know  God?  (Hint:  What  is  the   difference  between  “having  religion”  and  having  the  “full  blown  version”  of  God?)           5.  Four  “Truths  that  will  ‘Set  you  free’”  were:   -­‐  God  made  you  for  a  reason.  (Ephesians  2:10)   -­‐  You  can  know  God  personally.  (John  14:21,  23)   -­‐  You  can  be  forgiven  and  start  over.  (John  3:17  &  Colossians  2:13-­‐14)   -­‐  You  can  go  to  heaven  when  you  die.  (John  17:3)     -­‐  Which  truth  is  most  comforting  in  your  life  right  now?  Why?           6.  As  a  result  of  reflecting  and  discussing  these  passages,  what  is  one  thing  you  feel  compelled  to  do  this   week?
