Subject Combination Rules for Pre-Registration of Class-9th -2012-13.
All candidates must offer six subjects. There are five compulsory subjects and one optional
subject. Regular candidates can offered one Vocational Trade Subject from 945 to 964. This facility of
opting Vocational Trade has been allowed to the candidates of only 47 Institutions of the State. These
candidates will be awarded category A, B, C, D or E in Moral Education (code 944).

1st Compulsory Subject:901 – HINDI or 902 - ELE. HINDI

2nd Compulsory Subject:(i) Anyone of the following:

903 – GUJRATI, 904 – URDU, 905 – PUNJABI, 906 – BENGALI, 907 – MARATHI,
908 – ASAMESE, 909 – ORIYA, 910 – KANNADA, 911 – KASHMIRI, 912 – SINDHI,
913 – TAMIL, 914 – TELUGU, 915 – MALYALAM, 916 – NEPALI.

OR
917 – ENGLISH.

OR
(iii) Any one of the following :

923 – SANSKRIT, 924 – PALI, 925 – ARABIC, 926 – PERSIAN.

3rd Compulsory subject :928 – MATHEMATICS OR 929 - ELE MATHEMATICS OR 930 - HOME SCIENCE (For Female
Candidates only)

4th Compulsory subject :- 931 - SCIENCE
5th Compulsory Subject :- 932 - SOCIAL SCIENCE
6th Optional Subject :Any one subject from one of the following Groups(A to K). From Group-A any one language
can be offered as an optional subject provided it has not been taken earlier as 2nd compulsory language.
