Applications on prescribed form are invited from Indian Nationals for a contractual
appointment initially for one year extendable to a maximum period of 3 years with revised
remuneration after yearly review on satisfactory performance for the Academic and
Residential Campuses of IIT Jodhpur located (1) at Kendranchal Colony, GPRA Premises,
Vivek Vihar, Pali Road Jodhpur and (2) at BSNL Colony, Subhash Nagar, Jodhpur.
MEDICAL OFFICER
Number of Posts: 04 (3- males and 1 Female preferably Gynecologist)
Qualification and Experience: MBBS with Compulsory Rotatory Internship with
experience of three years in a recognized Hospital or PG Diploma in relevant branch of
Medicine with experience of one year in a recognized hospital or MD/MS in concerned
branch of Medicine.
Selection Procedure: Based on personal interview of the shortlisted candidates
Remuneration: Rs. 40000/- per month (Consolidated)
Duty Hours: In shift by rotation.
STAFF NURSE
Number of Posts: 03 (Three)
Qualification and Experience: Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery or B.Sc (Nursing)
of a recognized Institute.
Desirable: Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital recognized by the Central or State
Nursing Council.
Selection Procedure: Written examination and personal interview of shortlisted candidates
Remuneration: Rs. 12500/- per month (Consolidated)
Duty Hours: In shift by rotation.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:(a) The prescribed essential qualification/experience indicated is bare minimum and mere
possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview. If number
of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it may not be
possible to conduct interview of all candidates. So, IIT Jodhpur may restrict the
number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of
qualifications and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the
advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualification
and experience essentially possessed in the relevant field over and above the
minimum qualification prescribed along with documentary evidences, failing which
mere mentioning of experience would not be considered.
(b) The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative. IIT Jodhpur
reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts at the time of
selection. Further, IIT Jodhpur also reserves the right NOT to fill the advertised posts.
(c) The Complete postal address (including telephone/Fax/Mobile No. & Email address)
of the present employer mentioning the name of the organization and whether the
organization is a Govt/Semi Govt/Autonomous/Public Sector Undertaking/Private
Sector should be indicated in the Application form.
(d) The candidates called for interview will be not be reimbursed for any travel expenses.
(e) Canvassing in any form, bringing in any political influence or otherwise will be
treated as a disqualification for the post. It should be noted carefully that “Interim
enquiries will not be entertained”.

(f) The Institute shall verify the antecedents or documents submitted by a candidate at the

time of appointment or during the tenure of the service. In case, it is detected that the
documents submitted by the candidates are found to be fake even at the later stage or
the candidate has a clandestine antecedents background and has suppressed any
information, then his/her services shall be terminated.
(g) The application duly filled in the prescribed form along with supporting documents
must reach the Coordinator Establishment on or before July 18, 2013 at the address
given below. The envelope should be super scribed as “Application for the post of
Medical Officer/Staff Nurse at IIT Jodhpur” Applications received after the due date
shall not be considered.
