ADMISSION OF STUDENTS IN POLYTECHNICS
THROUGH JEXPO-2013 FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 2013-14
JEXPO ONLINE COUNSELLING NOTIFICATION - 1
It is hereby notified that the counselling for admission of students in the 1st year of 3 Year Diploma
Courses in Engineering / Technology / Architecture in different Government / Government Sponsored /
Private Polytechnics of West Bengal for the academic session 2013-14 will start on and from 16.07.2013
and continue up to 25.07.2013. The counselling will be conducted through Online Web Based
Computerized System through website of the council www.webscte.org.
Candidate must have to submit their options in combination of Institute and branch from the available
choices in order of priority. To access the Online Web Based Computerized Counselling System,
candidates are requested to log on to Council’s website www.webscte.org from any computer with
internet connectivity from 16.07.2013. Candidates can also download the option form and can put his
options according to his preference offline. The filled in option form can then be uploaded after careful
verification. Confirmation from the web portal is to be checked for confirmation of actual submission. The
detailed procedure for counseling will be available in the web portal. In order to support the candidates
for registration and choice filling, help desks will be opened for 6 days in all the sub-divisions of the state
as per following schedule:

The location of the help desks, Sub-Division wise, is being put up soon. In addition to the above, regional
help desk at Kolkata, Durgapur, Malda, Siliguri will remain open for the entire span of 16th July to 25th
July2013 and also on 27th & 30th July 2013.
The allotment of seats shall be done through specialized software and allocations of seats will be done
based on the availability of seats and the prioritized option furnished by the candidate. Details of
admission shall be outlined in the allotment letter. Candidates who shall be allotted seats will be able to
print their respective allotment letter on 27.07.2013 through the web portal.
Reservation as per Government norms will be followed as usual.
