Kashmir’s top footballers see their future in coaching

Srinagar, July 4: Still at the top of
their game in the national football
arena, Kashmir born star footballers
– Mehraujddin Wadoo and Ishfaq
Ahmad – have made their future
plans clear, with the duo attending
Asian Football Confederation (AFC)
‘C’ license coaching course held
recently at Duler Stadium in Goa.
The course was organized by

Football Players’ Association of
India (FPAI) which was attended
by at least 19 current Indian footballers, including Wadoo and
Ishfaq. The AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate course aims at training
coaches and developing their basic
techniques and skills in football.
Asked as to how he happened to
take up the course and what are his
plans for the future, Mehrajuddin
Wadoo said, “Both I and Ishfaq are
members of FPAI. When they were
planning to organize such a course
and it fell during off season, we gave

it a go. AFC courses are a must nowadays for any coaches and we saw
nothing wrong in going for it”.
“Though I have played under a
number of International coaches
and gained a lot from them, but
I think it is totally different thing
to be part of professional coaching course as a student. Here you
are like any other student for the
instructors and no special concessions are given. It is there that you
know how much potential you have
got in you to be a coach in future”.
Wadoo said that he loves coach-

ing and has been imparting training
to local youth in Valley whenever
he gets time. “I have been playing
at top level for last nine years now
and over the period time I have
learned a lot about football and its
techniques. Whenever I get time I try
to impart whatever I have learned
to youngsters in valley through different coaching camps and training
sessions with Iqbal Sports Club,” he
said. About future plans he said, “I
am still playing and in between I
may go for higher level of coaching
courses as well. I would like to com-

plete A-License course before I hang
up boots as a professional footballer”.
Meanwhile Ishfaq Ahmad said
that future in coaching arena for the
top players looks bright and there is
dearth of professional coaches in JK
sand rest of the Country.
“You never know what’s there
for you in the future, but as it
appears, future of coaching is
very bright. I mean for qualified
coaches. All the big teams will
need licensed coaches even for
their youth development,” he said

Vocational Training (NCVT)/Directorate General Employment
and Training (DGE&T), Ministry of Labour and Employment,
Govt. of India, New Delhi, has revised curricula of 63 trades
under Craftsmen Training Scheme w.e.f. August, 2014 as per

now FPAI are also trying to achieve
something similar so that the players
can prepare early for life after retirement”. Ishfaq said that he would like
to contribute in the development of
football in JK by training youngsters.
“Everyone dreams big and I am
no exception. However, as I have
always said we should give something back to the State where from
we have come. In that way I would
like to train youngsters in Valley
whenever I get a chance,” he said.

from this office under Section 6 of J&K General Sales Tax Act, 1962;

Whereas the dealers have failed to file such returns for this tax period till date;
Whereas this default on part of such dealers invites penalty under section 17(1)(b) of J&K General Sales Tax Act,
1962 and/or cancellation under Section 6(4) of the Act;
Now, therefore, before penalty is levied and/or registration certificate of the dealers is cancelled and an order
to that effect is made, the dealers are, hereby afforded an opportunity to appear before the undersigned and
either produce the proof of having furnished the returns or to explain as to why such penalty is not levied and/or
registration certificate is not cancelled.
The dealers can appear before the undersigned during office hours within one month from the publication of this
notice. Failure to appear will be construed as the dealer’s no objection, and the penalty/cancellation order shall
