Taliban set 200 fuel
trucks on fire in Kabul
and claimed responsibility for the late yesterday
night attack.
“At around 10:30
pm dozens of fuel tankers belonging to private
companies caught fire,”
Kabul police spokesman
Hashmat Stanikzai told
AFP.
“No one can get close to
them since the fire is still
raging at the scene,” he
added, saying that there had
been no casualties.

a magnetic bomb had
been used in the attack
while a NATO-led Inter-

national Security Assistance
Forces spokesman said
they were investigating
whether the fuel was intended for foreign troops.
The Afghan interior
ministry said initial investigations found that 200
trucks had been damaged.
The incident took place
in Chawk-e Arghandi and
comes as the Taliban steps
up attacks with NATO
forces due to complete
their withdrawal from the
country by the end of the
year.
Taliban spokesman
Zabihullah Mujahid said

in a statement that fighters
belonging to the group had
carried out the destruction.
Also yesterday, ISAF
said a rocket attack at
the United States’ main
military base at Bagram
Airfield had resulted
in “minor damages to
equipment and one
building”.
It came just a day
after Taliban insurgents
fired rockets into Kabul
airport, destroying the
Afghan president’s parked
helicopter and damaging
three other choppers.
On Wednesday, a
Taliban suicide bomber

in Kabul killed eight
military officers travelling on a military bus.
The attacks underlined
security fears in the capital which has been relatively peaceful since the
June 14 presidential runoff
between
Abdullah
Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani.
Kabul has witnessed
tense street demonstrations as the two candidates remain locked in a
dispute over voter fraud
which is threatening
to derail Afghanistan’s
first democratic transfer

This is for the information of public in general and cancer patients
in particular that the facility of free consultation is being provided
to poor cancer patients in Free Multi-Specialty Oncology Clinic of
the society on every Wednesday and Saturday. Accordingly all
cancer patients are informed that they can avail this opportunity
on Wednesday and Saturday of every week. In addition free
ADMINISTERING OF CHEMOTHERAPY is also available at the
Day Care Centre of the Society.
Besides free HOME CARE PALLIATIVE SERVICES are made
available for patients suffering from end stage cancer, unable
to attend Multi-Specialty Oncology Clinic of Society or Hospital
and residing within Municipal limits of Srinagar.
In addition following facility are made available for the general public
on “NO PROFIT NO LOSS BASIS” against the rates shown below:-

Counseling for admission to various Master Degree
Programmes shall be held at SKUAST-K, Shalimar as
per following programme from 2.00 p.m. onwards.
All the candidates are required to attend the
counseling at the fixed date & time failing which
claim of admission on already allotted seats shall
not be entertained inspire of superior merit. The
candidates are, in their own interest, advised to visit
the University website for updated instructions.

Qualification

1.		The initial contract will be for a period of one year (extendale) subject to the performance of the
selected candidates.
2.		The appointee shall be paid a salary at the minimum of the pay scale in accordance with the provision
of SRO- 384 of 2009 dated:-14.12.2009.
3.		The appointee shall have to sign an agreement on the prescribed format appended to SRO-384 of
2005 dated. 14.12.2009. Besides applicants have to submit an undertaking duly signed by 1st Class
Magistrate to the effect that this shall not confer any claim or right for regular appointment
4.		The appointee so engaged, if found guilty at any point of time of impersonation or submitting
fabricated/tempered documents his/her contract shall be cancelled even after selection and shall
be terminated without any further notice.
5.		The selected candidates shall be appointed on contract basis for a period of one year or till the posts
Eire filled by the competent authority whichever is earlier.
6.		The appointed candidates can be terminated before one year’s expiry or one months notice from
either side or 1 month salary in lieu of notice from the appointing authority.
7.		The candidates so appointed shall be governed by the provisions of SRO-384 of 2009.
