IN

My son namely Malik Sajad S/O Abdul Majid R/O Kupwara
at present t residing in a rented accommodation near AsariSharief Shehri Kalash-Pora Srinagar is suffering from Chronic
disease as a case of Nephrotic Syndrome and is registered at
SKIMS Soura under Card No. 1311059987. The patient is
taking life saving medicines which costs me Rs. 15000/- per
month. My husband is a poor man and is labour class and
cannot afford to continue medication of my two sons (one
suffering having Nephrotic syndrome and another suffering
from Neurological problem). Financial support is sought from
all those who can afford and mitigate my sufferings and save
precious life of my son.

Q1. 		 What does MGNREGA stand for ?

Ans.		It stands for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment
Guarantee Act.
Q2. 		 What is the aim of the Scheme ?
Ans.
 		It aims to enhance livelihood security of Rural households in a year by
providing them 100 days guaranteed wage employment in unskilled
manual work.
 		 Strengthening grass roots procedures of democracy.
			 Strengthening pure natural resources

Q3. 		 When shall be wage employment provided ?
Ans.
			After submitting of the application, within 15 days or
from the day employment is demanded, applicant shall
be provided wage employment.
Q4. 		 What is the procedure of getting employment ?
Ans.
			
The adult members of every house hold are to submit their names, age

& address for registration to the gram Panchayat, which is bound to
register them.

Q5. 		 What afterwards ?
Ans.
				After registration, every household will be issued a job
card.
Q6. 		 How job card holders shall get wage employment ?
Ans.
				The job card holders are to request for it through an application in writing
to gram Panchayat or Programme officer & ask dated receipt of application.
The application is to be submitted for at least 14 days continuous work.

Q7. 		 Who shall get un-employment allowance ?
Ans.
				
If the legitimate applicant does not get employment within 15 days

of demand of work or the date from which he has sought work,
whichever is latter, he shall be provided un-employment allowance.

Q8. 		 Which works shall be taken in hand under MGNREGA ?
Ans.
 		 Works for conservation & use of water
			 Works of re-forestation for drought proning.
			 Miner irrigation projects.
			 Maintenance & Development of land.
			 Construction of all weather roads.
			Maintenance of traditional water bodies & anti-soil erosion works & other
permissible works which can be taken in hand by Halqa Panchayat.

Q9. 		Are Machines allowed in implementation of MGNREGA
works ?
Ans. 
				Under MGNREGA, machines are not allowed in implementation of
works.
