Max Is Anybody Listening HC Junior Assistant list This refers to the selection list of High Court junior assistant for 2009 which is yet to be declared. The aspirants made so many requests to concerned authorities to get the final select list announced but there has been no response. The present government had assured the people of fast track selections but our list is still stuck. The authorities should take a passionate look at the matter and see how many years have been lost by youths due to this pending list. We request the honourable Chief Minister to look into the matter and solve our problem as we are about to cross the upper age limit. We hope our CM will not disappoint us unlike other officials who have disappointed us despite so many requests. Saima Nazair, Nusrat Jan, Iqbal Banday Ellahibagh road We the shopkeepers of Ellahibagh Chowk from JK Bank ATM to Grid Station are facing tremendous hardships due to damaged road in front of us. Potholes have appeared on the road and the heavy dust causes breathlessness to people besides making our goods look outdated. Being a busy intersection, the road damage can result in accidents if it is not repaired immediately. Authorities also need to widen the road from Ellahibagh Chowk to Naseembagh which is often chocked due to the heavy rush of traffic. G M Gagroo Shopkeepers of the area Bad Roads We, the residents of Tarzoo, Amberpora, Panjipora Sopore want to bring into notice of R&B department the worst condition of road from Tarzoo to Sopore. We appealed many a time to the concerned department but nothing has been done yet. The concerned department is appealed to do the needful so that the road is repaired timely and the common people are saved from the sufferings. Shahnawaz Aziz Malla Tarzoo Sopore Power theft It is an unfortunate situation that power theft is happening rampantly in our locality (Gulshan Park, Govt. Housing Colony, Channapora, Srinagar). Some people put on illegal hooks on the transmission lines and in some cases even the PDD officials are alleged to be hand-in-glove with those people. Some officials allegedly write fake reading in records of those consumers who pay them hefty amounts monthly for such a favour. This is done by ignoring the actual reading on meters or by making them technically dead. In order to end this malpractice the government should constitute high level committee for verification of all the meters of our locality so that the corrupt officials could be punished. Imtiyaz Sheikh Govt Housing Colony, Channapora Transformer problem We the residents of village Braw Bandina, mohallah Praw have been allotted a 25 KV electricity transformer through Rajiv Gandhi scheme but unfortunately the said transformer could hardly bear the load of our mohalla as there are no less than 30 domestic circuits running through it. With the result the transformer is damaged repeatedly which makes people suffer. We have repaired the transformer almost one dozen times on our own assistance. Now we make a sincere request/ appeal to the govt to issue us a 63 K.V transformer so that our problem is solved permanently. We the aspirants fear for some wrongdoings if the list remains unpublished and it also gives an impression that the present government is not for the unemployed youth of the state. Sajad Ahmad Aspirant Teachers of Falahi Aam Trust We the Falahi Aam Trust teachers are suffering badly in these crucial days. We are working in the Trust since 1991 and we get a meagre monthly salary of Rs 2000 to 5000. We have to support a huge family at home. We have sacrificed our lives for the sake of the Trust. Now we appeal our worthy Chief Minister to look into the matter and convert us into regular Govt teachers and save our kids future. Malik Rahi Vilgam Handwara Achan Dumping Site We the residents of Firdous Colony, Eid Gah are facing hard times due to the pungent smell emanat- , twitter.com/GreaterKashmir_ 30.4° Min 18.6° Sunrise 7:13 Tuesday 5:40 TEMPERATURE Mainly clear sky Sunset Monday ing from the Achan garbage dumping site. Even though we live almost two kilometers away from the dumping site but the smell is so strong that we can’t even open the windows of our houses. The chocking smell has led to multiple health problems among the residents, but government continues to turn blind eye towards the issue. For many years, we are told that government is looking for an alternative garbage dumping site, but it seems that it’s just a time buying tactic by the government. It’s a matter of grave concern among all of us here. We appeal to the government to kindly resolve the issue of this dumping site immediately. Danish Hamid Firdous Colony, Eid Gah Adulteration in Veterinary medicines This pertains to an important issue of lack of quality control in the veterinary medicines. The persons without licenses distribute these medicines to officials of the concerned department on 60 percent commission basis. No one is there to investigate whether the medicine is pure or not. A new agency has recently started distributing Max the medicines on 70 percent commission. How is it possible that the medicine will be pure? We the residents of Kupwara district request district officer Kupwara and minister of Animal Husbandry to analyse samples of all the veterinary medicines and inform the public which medicines are pure and which are not. The persons who play with the lives of innocent animals should be taken to task. Bashir Ahmad Kupwara Conduct Interviews This refers to the short listing of candidates in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Pulwama.
